Is see on the side of the page captions that there is question about this person being a "serial killer" - it seems that he was a serial killer who was unable to fully develop, didn't have enough time post 1st (known) human kill to develop, to mature what would have eventually been a fairly frequent hitter on the world-wide serial killer scene. But, we must also consider the definition of the the term, "serial killer". Along with agreeing upon his successfully being defined (by national governmental agencies throughout the world) as a person whose crime and style in which it is handled, timing of kills and number of kills, too all these visible, tangible ideals are underpinned by a correct psychological workup of the possible "serial killer", especially in this instance, since Mr. Magnotta was captured before he could kill again and appears to have killed but one person upon his capture. With the small bit of history that is available on the internet about Mr. Magnotta, the torturing and killing of small and infant animals, etc - it seems to me that he would be categorized as a serial killer who had not matured fully. Could you see Mr. Magnotta suddenly stopping his practices after going as far as he had when he murdered and dismembered the person seen in the video? I can't imagine that he would stop after all of the attention and time that he garnered after his first online murder.
